Tips from an Interior Designer in Sitges to Efficiently Plan your Renovation Project
Mediterranean house
Sant Pere de Ribes -Barcelona, 2020
A home renovation inspired by the Mediterranean islands. The objective of this home was rental and therefore it required cost effective changes to enhance the habitability and comfort.
All walls gotelé were removed and smoothened, continuous floors in greyish tones created a feeling of spaciousness and provided acoustic comfort, the carpentry was treated and painted in light blue reflecting more light. While the kitchen cabinets were recycled, the worktop was completely updated to porcelain, becoming tenant- proof. The height of the original breakfast bar was lowered to provide continuity to the worktop and expanding storage capacity (avoiding visual clutter that originally existed); this change lead to a comfortable breakfast bar integrated into the kitchen-living room that communicates both spaces.
A minimalistic Ibiza style home that breathes summer all year round.
